ARCH1101 - First Blog

This is my first painting that is done in traditional Chinese style, this was painted in 2007. The scene depicts a group of fisherman in a lake next to a mountain range. The interesting thing about this picture is that the original paint did not have leaves on the trees, I added those colours just to cover up how horrid the bare trees looked.

This is the Halley VI Research Station in Antarctic. This monumental piece of architecture is a testament to exploration and stubbornness, as it allows researchers to live in perhaps the most inhospitable place for human on planet earth. The research station is interesting as it resemble a a tusk of mammoths with the legs lifting the station off of the frozen ground.

This is the inside of my computer. The many lights indicates that everything is in working order. The interesting thing about this picture is that it looks like an aerial shot of a city, its many transistors and capacitors representing buildings, and its red, green and yellow lights depicting life in this city.
